5. A Short Prelude To Insanity

So you might have noticed by now that I’m being wordier than usual underneath The Nile Journals comic posts. The idea being, since this is a rebroadcast of old content, that I take the opportunity to provide a little extra DVD-cometary-track -style content to accompany each comic. It is in this spirit that I inform you that the froggy chap in this week’s episode was a riff on Kolchaka’s Fancy Froglin (if you look closely you can just see a hint of his tiny little shorts).

Transcript

Week 5: Thursday – Got dragged along to one of Spooky’s office parties.

Guy: What is it you do exactly?
Nile: At the moment? I’m making a comic strip about my life.
Guy: Really? And you make a living from that?

Nile: Well, I make me living. And you, for that matter. And all those silhouettes in the background too, although I suppose there’s isn’t really much of a life.

Guy: So no actual money, then?
Nile: The jury’s still out on that one.

Week 5: Saturday – Felt a little odd today. Think I may be coming down with something.

Nile: You feeling okay, Ignatz?
Ignatz: Sure. Why?

Nile. Oh… no reason.

Week 5: Sunday – Definitely something very wrong with my head. Or reality. Or both.

Spooky: Hey Nile! A bunch of people at the office have gone down with some flu thing. You’re not feeling weird or anything, are you?
Nile: Define “weird.”
