So I bet you’ve all been wondering what those letters are doing in the background texture for this sequence. You probably first noticed them here and have been wondering ever since. Right? Well wonder no more – they’re from a photo I took near where I grew up of The Scallop by artist Maggi Hambling that sits on Aldeburgh beach. The text in full reads “I hear those voices that will not be drowned” although, in the photo I took, “drowned” reads as “owned.” Which I always kinda liked the sound of.
