The Planet That Listened
They said the ear was a natural occurrence. Just rock and wind and time.
But the mouth was the work of men. Some ancient, forgotten civilisation that built their pistons to last.
It said things like:
Uh-huh.
I know, right.
You and me both.
In public, most agreed it was crass and vulgar and uncalled for.
But in private?
You go, girlfriend.
There were few who weren’t moved to smile.
