Meanwhile, back at Wyrmrise University, a sudden shudder passes through Facilitator Burrstruck. Somehow, somewhere, Lemrin Spur is doing something he shouldn’t. Burrstruck sighs, adds another tally mark to a small ledger he keeps about his person, and then returns to business.

Leerah: Have you… have you ever been there?
Lermin: The Realms?
Lermin: I’ve… visited, yes. Briefly.
Leerah: Then you know! You know what it’s like!
Lermin: Look, I don’t want to judge a whole dimension based on one short, accidental encounter.
Leerah: I see. So just out of curiosity then, while you were there.
Leerah: Did everyone and everything you encounter try and kill you?
Lermin: Well. They didn’t… not try to kill me.
Leerah: That’s what it’s like! All of it!
Leerah: The Burning Realms are constant conflict. Constant war.
Leerah: And if I go back there, all I’ll ever be able to do with everything you’ve taught me is fight.
Leerah: Fight and kill and die!
Lermin: *sigh*
Lermin: I guess we’d better not let any of that happen then.
Leerah: What? Wait, is that-
Lermin: Your contract of binding.
Lermin: I borrowed the University’s copy from Facilitator Burrstruck’s office.
Lermin: I’m sure he won’t miss it.
Lermin: Now. How do you feel about entering into a little renegotiation of terms?

Love that Lemrin didn’t think it would come to this, but did a little light theft just in case it did.
