Sure, you might think Skellaron is being overly dramatic. And K’Reen certainly does. But Lemrin knows the horror of which Skell speaks. Knows that such matters of dread import must be treated with the respect and caution they deserve. And if this might perhaps involve putting off starting the marking for absolutely as long as possible, then surely this is a price worth paying?
Transcripts
Skellaron: I’ve known horrors most people couldn’t even imagine.
Skellaron: Hell, a lot of the time I’ve even been that horror.
Reen: You seem pretty imaginable to me.
Skellaron: But nothing! Nothing compares to the pure dread of the task now set before us.
Lermin: First Year essay marking?
Skellaron: First Year essay marking.
Reen: I swear, if you two just complained less and got on with it, you’d both be done already.
Skellaron: Oh if only it were that simple.
Skellaron: But First Year essays respect no barriers of logic, grammar or causality.
Skellaron: To mark one is to mark a hundred. A thousand!
Skellaron: It is a time without end or beginning or hope or sanity!
Lermin: Yeah. What he said.
Reen: Uh huh. Well, I got mine finished last Friday, so…
Skellaron: *Gasp*
Skellaron: Only we two are left in the fight! Will you stand with me, Lemrin?
Lermin: I will.
Skellaron: Until the last mark is given!
Lermin: Until the last feedback writ!
Reen: *sigh*
Reen: I’m going to head to class.
Lermin & Skellaron: Brothers against the night!
