The above is the solicitation info for the Avengers book containing my first story for Marvel Comics – Emperor None & The Sky Full Of Moons. The bit where it says “Luke Cage and Wolverine go toe-to-toe against a terrifying cosmic foe” is me. Spider-man is actually in it too and it’s drawn by the rather talented Brian Denham.

The book will be out on 19th December, but if you could all run out and pre-order it from your local comic shop now, this would be much appreciated.

Damn. That’s five of my hard-earned dollars I have to give to Marvel now. Do you have any idea how that makes me feel? DO YOU?

Don’t know this Denham guy, but he shur does draw purty.

Good on ya! Congrats! Looking forward to future DMG goodness in the future.

I am eager to know more about this guy. Why is he a supervillain? Why Avengers? Why moons?

A transcendent genius – artist and technologist – amoral but passionate. Constructed a gigantic adaptive machine, the size of a warehouse, which folded itself away into sideways dimensions and could be worn like a suit…

Name of: Norbert Newell. He got the name `None´ (initially NoNe) when he was a graffiti artist (age 14); got arrested once whille tagging a police station and kicked out of college. In retaliation, suspended the entire school 900 feet in the air, with the words “A rule of None” written on the bottom in enormous luminescent letters.

His genius recognized, was approached by Los Vengadores and was a member until his artistic needs and egotism compelled him to leave and defeat them all in the process… final battle was on the moon, where El Capitan knocked him out. An insulting trick blow with a shield to undo a byzantine scheme.

When he returned, he defeated them all using the moon, the site of his last (and only) defeat. Proclaimed himself Emperor Norbert the Second of the USA. This grew boring after 100 days, and he set out to make art again. Eventually, he perfected dimensional jump technology, and discovered there were Avengers on many worlds, but only one Emperor None.

I have too much time on my head…
