Little Gifts

They were always bringing me these little gifts. Always!

To show me what good people they were. How much they cared.

Until one day I just… I couldn’t stand it anymore.
So I bought them a puppy.

I got it from an animal shelter. Cute little thing.
But both of its front legs were missing.

They stopped bringing me gifts after that.
