Apparently this strip was originally “dedicated to my old pal” George Bush and that back then it was “good to know in these times of tense international politics, there’s still an idiot with access to nuclear weapons in the Whitehouse.” Ah 2006 – truly a sweeter and more innocent time.

Apparently this strip was inspired by something I once noticed in a tarot reading. Tonally it’s a bit of an outlier for Brain First – a slightly creepier vibe that snuck in from some other, unknown parallel.

My notes reveal that this 49th strip was “numerically noteworthy as there are seven members of the Brain Fist cast and they’ve now each appeared seven times.” Modern me is frankly shocked that I ever bothered to keep track of something like that.
