Caption: On the nature of family

Mechra: I have been reflecting lately on my interactions with others in the bar.

Mechra: I have concluded that it can be pleasant to spend time with people you are not intending to kill.
Mechra: And who are not intending to, or capable of killing you.

Mechra: Had I lived a more mundane existence, I might be tempted to use a word like “family” to describe this association.

Mechra: But I have not lived such a life. And so such a word holds for me an altogether different meaning.

JEDCØP: Is er… is that it?
Mechra: It is the thing I wished to say. And now it has been said.
