Checking my notes, it seems when this strip was originally published in 2006 the usual update was late that week due to the urgent priority of playing the newly released Half Life 2: Episode 1. Ah, simpler times! (I’m sure episode 3 will be out any day now).
When this strip was originally published in 2006, it was accompanied by a news post complaining about the difficulty I sometimes experienced in figuring out anything useful to say to accompany a strip. This is a problem that evidently still persists to this day.
She does, always. My notes for this strip state that “you can only get away with a strip like this every now and again, I think. So this is me getting away with it.” Well played, past me.
There’s some kind of joke about a phantom pregnancy waiting to be made here, but the precise configuration of it eludes me.
