I was a deep sea diving cartoonist.

I’d dive down to wrecks as deep as you could go – really push the limit of what was possible.

And then once I was there I’d break out the underwater pencil and dash off a quick 3 panel gag strip or two.

Maybe even a Sunday strip if the air supply was good!

Wow. With such a specific skillset you must have been in pretty high demand.

Oh… no. No, practically no demand at all. See, it turns out it’s actually much easier to cartoon if you just don’t go near the water at all.

I went bankrupt like… five different times.
