    I said this all the way through university. Somehow, my counselor found this troubling and insisted on doing experiments the old-fashioned way.

    Isn’t that what we have science fiction for? Can’t we scientist ever get a break? We think it’s fun already and can’t understand why the rest of you don’t agree with us! ;-)

    I wonder if Descartes was thinking along similar lines when he proposed a similar argument for his concept of the mind/soul?
