If the last excuse works, how come there are so many dinosaurs in San Francisco?
El dinosaurio
Cuando despertó, el dinosaurio todavía estaba allí.
-Augusto Monterroso
Probably the shortest tale ever…
Free and horrible translation
The dinosaur
When he woke up, the dinosaur was still there
-Augusto Monterroso
Notice the “he”, in the translation… in the Spanish version, theres is no “he” nor “she” in the tale (you don’t have to refer to who’s doing the action in the Spanish language)… so it could anyone or anything that woke up
