I’m a big fan of this site. But I don’t get why this is funny.
The joke is implied bestiality. But it also fails if you think too hard about it; in order to lay an egg, Caldwell would need the parts of a female bird, and then he would have already been laying unfertilized eggs.
A lot of great jokes fail when you over-analyze them. Just don’t think too hard.
